Production studio Vanguard Pictures has officially unveiled the full ensemble lineup for “The Archipelago”, confirming one of the most exciting cast combinations of the calendar year.
Headlined by Oscar nominee Sarah Lin, the film centers on a group of oceanographic researchers stranded on an unmapped volcanic reef following a freak seismic event. Joining Lin are British stage icon Alistair Thorne, French prodigy Camille Dupont, and Japanese drama star Kenji Takahashi.
Director Mateo Cruz, known for his relentless visual storytelling in “Altitude Zero”, confirmed that the cast will spend three weeks living on a converted marine research vessel off the Portuguese archipelago to acclimate to deep-water conditions.
“This isn’t a story where characters hide behind tech gadgets,” Lin said in an official statement. “It is human beings stripped down to raw instinct against the most indifferent force on Earth: the open ocean.”
